Squirrel Class is the home of our Year 1 pupils.

Squirrel Class is taught by Mrs Eichler and Miss Howe (TA). 

PE

Our PE days are Monday and Friday.

Please can all clothing be clearly named. 

Homework

The children are expected to read at least 4 times at home during the week. Please could you write in the name of the book, pages read and sign this in your child’s reading log. Every Friday, we collect the reading records and record the number of reads per week  to monitor reading. We celebrate children who read at least 4 times a week by awarding them dojo points and entering their name into our Book Wars competition. 

Spellings will be sent home every Friday to reinforce spelling patterns and strategies introduced throughout the week in Sounds Write (phonics) lessons. Please could you encourage your child to practice these at home.
